Almost there on the cloud mobile. It's now come to the part I'm not so good at – the sewing!

I dusted off the machine this morning. PB found this bad-boy on the side of the road in London and lugged it on the underground back to my place. No mean feat as it weights about a tonne. After all that effort there was no way it wasn't coming home with us to Australia!

PS. Please excuse the dodgy embroidery. I've never embroidered anything in my life, but though I may as well give it a go!

  3. That sewing machine is awesome, I found one on the side of the road too. It's sitting in our garage. I was lucky and got given my grandmother's old one. She's got history baby.

That pile of fabrics look BEAUTIFUL. And lady - do not apologise for your embroidery, it's wildly good. You are a gem.

  4. I'm with PMM, can't wait to see what appears from that pile of lovely fabrics. The colours are so appealing.

And I'm jealous of your collector partner...Keith has a minimalist disease. He's afraid of hard-rubbish night and if we see a garage-sale sign by the road he points in the other direction and shouts 'Oh look! A dog with five legs!'

  5. I just love it!
I am learning to sew now, and maybe I will need one of these of my own soon (I'll open wide my eyes in the street).

I discovered your blog some weeks ago, and I'm loving it everyday :)
