We've been on the lookout for a good nightlight. There is no power point in our bathroom so when I change BB at night I have to have the big bright light on, which is not good for tired squinty eyes. Mine or hers. I also have to have the light on all night, so I can see where I'm going. Not good for the environment. Not good at all. But at the moment, necessary.

I remember seeing these little sweeties in a shop on Crown Street months and months ago, and have been trying to find them online the last week or so. I was just about to go to sleep when I saw them in a magazine laying on my desk... hooray! They come with a charging base so at night you just take it off and put it where it needs to go. Perfecto! Now the only problem is picking which little critter to get. Hhhmmm... at the moment it's a toss-up between the green dog and the monkey. What do you think?

  3. see if your hardware stores sell a dimmer switch - we took off the normal light switch we had on our lamp & put one on - way to go x

    But between the dog and the monkey, I like the green dog.

  6. Very cute, can I be all practical and suggest you check out the Oxo light (I think by Candella). I bought a set of 2 and it's one of those never-regret purchases! My toddler sleeps with his now, so easy to turn on/off and perfect amount of light - and no I don't work for them lol, good quality things that make life easier just make me want to share, I'm using mine while feeding 6 month old right now.. xx

  15. we have a dinosaur of the same light... but from the above I love the hedgehog or the green puppy... or in an ideal world I'd just buy them all and line them all up next to each other.

  17. i love them too. between the green dog and the monkey i love the monkey... but it looks like it may want to tickle in the middle of the night. so perhaps the green dog...watching and protecting. hedgehog looks like it likes to be picked up. penquin is asking questions. and the yellow dog and panda don't have too much to say.. i love your blog, ewa

    I think we're going with the green dog. (He's a schnauzer, apparently.)

    I still like the monkey, but PB thinks he looks a bit creepy...

    PS. Thanks Simone – I looked at the oxo lights too and they're great – but I just can't get past these little guys!

  23. Holy smokes. Everyone appears to like night lights over here. I like the schnauzer. He's cute. And I love schnauzers. Yep the schnauzers have it.
