One of my best friends and very talented illustrators Cassandra Allen has recently had her latest children's book There Was An Old Sailor (text by Claire Saxby) published. She has five signed hardback copies to give away with the purchase of one of her prints in her etsy store. How cool is the sailor? I think he's my favourite character she's drawn so far. Oh my gosh this is too cute. I have a friend that loves sea creatures, this would be a perfect one-day shower present for her.
ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest long-term goals is to write and illustrate a children's book. I made one when I was 14 and won a second prize on it at school. Ha! But ever since then I've always wanted to make one.
