Help!
I've ordered a knitted jumper on made it for BB for the winter, and I'm now stuck on what colour to get.
For those of you that know me, you'll be well aware that anything to do with colour selection is a major decision in my life, and one not to be taken lightly.
Whilst I loved chocolate and khaki and jade green, I've decided to go for a more girly option. I'm not particularly fond of pink baby clothes, but I quite like these muted dusty colours. And hopefully people will stop telling little BB how cute HE is. Ahem.
So after checking the palette about fifty seven times today, this is what I've narrowed it down to. Rose (on the left) and Mauve (on the right).
I'm erring on the side of Rose. Thoughts?

Oh I like the rose, it is very beautiful indeed, the perfect soft dusty pink. Gorgeous!

rose for rosemary, it's very soft and pretty. i used to get really irked when people mistook Iris for a boy, i suppose i didn't help matters by pretty much refusing to dress her in the signifying colour for a girl. silly pink. she does wear a little bit now (shocking pink mostly). i don't agree that all little girls want to wear pink. anyway, now i'm just ranting!
ReplyDeletep.s. just remembered i sort of mistook rosemary for a boy in the very first photograph you posted, do you remember? SORRY.
I'm partial to the mauve, but both are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI like the rose!
ReplyDeleteI like both, they are both winners in my book. And my opinion is completely useless!
ReplyDeletePeople did that to me all the time, always mixing le bebes up. I don't get it. If I don't know, I ask!
Rose !! it'll bring out the colour of any babies cheeks!!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon your blog via a cup of jo, it is so charming and whimsical. I used to live by the beach in western australia and your beachy posts brings back the smell of salty sand, ocean breezes and sound of crashing waves back into my mind and always lights up my day.
Thank you!
If you go for lilac (right hand side) – you will stop being my friend and BB will never forgive when she grows up... choose very carefully Lady A ;) xx
ReplyDeletego for the rose i say - i was always so anti dressing milla in pink & you know what - with out me even teaching her about pink she always wants "the pink one"! x
ReplyDeletei like the rose better. I didn't do much baby pink either but, that's a lovely color.
ReplyDeleteoh, and pink or lace or bows won't stop folks from saying HE! only hair does it!! you could get her a wee wig . . .quite a strange phenomenon :)
1930's ash pink... left. it is not the colour.... it is what you do with it... you seem to be doing very well:)
ReplyDeleteBoth choices would look equally as cute, but Rose would be my choice too :)
ReplyDeleteI like the Rose as well!
ReplyDeleteI definately would vote for rose. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh, go the rose for Rosie, it's gorgeous - but you know my standpoint as the queen of baby pink!
ReplyDeleterose..... beautiful pink. I am not a pink girl, but this dusty pink does look lovely.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely rose - dusky pink is a lovely colour and quite unlike the silly bright baby pinks that most little girl clothing comes in. I think mauve is still slightly gender-ambiguous.
ReplyDeleteRose!
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't mind in the least if you use any of my photos, you don't even have to ask :) I'm flattered.
Rose is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteRose rose!
ReplyDeletePretty...
I'm not a big fan of pink, but that dusky rose is pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, I'm new to it, but have enjoyed reading your archives and loved the birth story very much.
