I stumbled across this pic at my new favourite place for inspiration, 16 house. How beautiful is this family? I wonder if they are dressed up to go somewhere or this is their everyday wear? 

PS. A couple of you asked where my nappy bag is from. It's actually a mens bag by UK designer Ally Capellino. I used to tote everything around in it when I lived in London and now it's serving BB and I well as a nappy bag! (Is it just me or are 'real' nappy bags just a bit ugly?)


EDIT: This couple is actually photographer Charles Thompson and his textile designer wife Olya. They have since had a son and live in a spectacular apartment in Brooklyn (not to my taste but still pretty amazing...) Thanks Jodi for finding this out for me!

    And I was going to say in that post with your bag that diaper bags are hideeeeoussss. I'm planning on just finding a general purpose bag that I can use that's neutral for both Michael and I. Yours is adorable, well done.

  2. Ya they are totally ugly. I never used one. A vintage LV tote worked just perfectly. I felt stylish, it went with everything, and I could wipe spit up off in one swipe.

  3. this family have since had a baby boy and i've seen pictures of their house....eeeek. you can imagine how stunning. i found it via 'a cup of jo'. i'll see if i can find the link to their home...it was featured in vogue. of course. x

    Yes, nappy bags are ugly. I never used one because of this fact and if you wanted a nice one they were over $400 and then unusable when your little ones grow up. So I opted for a melbourne designers bag and I LOVE it. Big enough to serve the purpose of kids and still lookin' good for mumma!

  10. Liuke you I used an old large canvas tote I had, so much more stylish and no need for the expense either. Beautiful family, but yours is stunning as well Anna.
