I feel like I'm at the tail end of a tough couple of weeks. Work is beginning to flow better, my energy levels are slowly rising and at least one part of each day is spent lurking in a cafe with a friend or husband. This time of year our meals celebrate a different roast vegetable every night, cream gets smuggled onto the morning's porridge and afternoon naps in the sunshine can be taken guilt free.
In the background my workload is piling up, and we're planning on moving soon so chaos will start again shortly. I'm making the most of the rest period while it's here.

It is so nice when you can see a light. That light that allows you to put your feet up guilt free and just be.
ReplyDeletechaos is good when all the other pieces are together. I hope your chaos is fun and full of laughter as you move to a new home and space. {I am busy that weekend}!!
you are AWESOME!
xx
sounds like a beautiful time. i love your writing (and your life!). xoxo
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your moments .... love the veggie photo, just divine !!!
ReplyDeletesounds like a delicious chapter in life right now, especially the naps in the sunshine. i remember being homeschooled as a kid and having hours upon hours for reading. now you've made me want to lie on my bed in that patch of sun and while away some time. alas, maybe another day.
ReplyDeleteAre those PURPLE CARROTS?? Or is that just something i´ve never seen before.... yum!!!! Moving sounds exiting! exhausting of course, but after all the work is done: FUN!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a GREAT rest period, enjoy those roast vegetables, and your little one! :) Oh and enjoy that cream too! You're so lucky it's winter there!

your photos continue to be more and more beautiful. how is that possible? i love how you capture 'moments' rather than taking photos. i might have to start harassing you for photography tips and hints regarding your settings etc. i have a decent camera and am yet to master it. it didn't take me long to realise that its the photographer, not the camera!
ReplyDeleteenjoy your rest before the storm x
Thanks Peta! I carry the camera around with me a lot, so it's always there. The one really handy thing I have learnt is with exposing, using your camera's light meter to expose for the lightest and darkest part of the photo, and then manually choosing a setting in between. I find this always helps. x
ReplyDeletelove the carrot photo! wow, beautiful.
ReplyDeletehappy that you are doing well.
can i come over for some red carrots? I'll bring dessert.
