There are times when I don't know what to post here. Photographs and words do not come together into one coherent story. Clearly, this is one of those times. I should be working but I have taken a break to tell you (procrastinate) what we are up to this week. Working. Relaxing. Making new friends. Hanging out with old ones. Eating baked quinces for dessert. Those of us that are small enough are taking warm baths in large buckets. I also have a strong need for a pair of yellow jeans. Is that wrong? It's because of this image. If anyone knows where to get something similar I will be forever grateful for the hot tip.
PS. Regarding bath time safety. Yes, I did have a firm hold of BB in this photo. I took my arms out while she balanced for a second and PB snapped it from above. She loves the water. And I love that she loves it.

Uniqlo do coloured jeans! Not sure about yellow but they would be worth a try! (cute bathtime picture!)
ReplyDeleteIt´s not wrong! jaja hope you find a pair!
ReplyDeletethe first store that popped into my head re yellow jeans was american apparel but not sure if they're over there yet..?? i bath my little girl in the same bucket x
ReplyDeleteIs that specifically a baby bath? Or just a bucket? I am curious because Tommy Tubs are popular, and I like the idea of them (the baby seems more submerged), but it seems like it'd be easier to just buy some type of bucket and use it. Wondering if you have done something similar. God, I sound like a terrible parent :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, by the way!
I too am interested in where you got your BabyBathBucket..? My first thought re the yellow jeans was American Apparel.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you the other day as I had my first mother's group and I remembered your post...out of the 12 women there, I think there is maybe one who I think I might have enough in common with to be buddies.. hrmph.
great photo - and I was just thinking BB was so good at sitting up on her own!! x
ReplyDeleteI own a pair of those yellow pants. They are corduroys. I got them at the Gap this past winter. They have a bit of a stretch to them so if you're able to track a pair down be mindful that they stretch after some wears. The color has stayed quite vibrant. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love that little baby in a warm bath-bucket. LOVE her.
ReplyDeleteYellow jeans would be SO right on you! I really wanted polka dot ones, but not sure I can do that.
I've recently found your blog, and enjoy it. I'd like to share the Versatile Blogger Award http://lifeinbalance-lisa.blogspot.com/ Feel free to pick it up.

Hello
ReplyDeleteHave a look at www.shopstyle.com. Or Gap? they are opening a store in Melbourne soon?
I have been avidly following your blog for a couple of weeks now! Came across it looking for 'playdough'. Beautiful images and inspiring posts.
I too am a relatively new mum and wife. JP is now 19 months (feels like yesterday he was placed in my arms)
Your intro and posts hit home so much they sound like something i would write... Officially a graphic designer, (frustrated illustrator and crafter) living in Sydney after migrating from the UK 5 years ago. It rang true how hard it is to find friends. Now I have J it seems even harder! and very isolating.
Anyway, enough of my waffling, I just wanted to say I love your blog, its even inspired me to stop procrastinating and get off my butt and be creative again! I'd love to start my own blog - any tips?
Al
Thanks for all the suggestions on the jeans! I am going to try American Apparel.
ReplyDeleteThe bath is one of those flexible tubs from most hardware shops:

It is our laundry basket. And now, BB's bath. She's loves it. xx
PS. Lisa - thanks so much for the award! x
