24.8.10

Rest up BB as tomorrow will be a big day.

We're moving. I feel a little bit sick thinking about it. Anxious. PB keeps telling me it's ok. We're not moving far so all we have to do is chuck stuff in the car and drive it to our new place. Then the furniture the following day. I will be with BB who is still a little unhappy about her toothies whilst PB lifts and hauls what is probably eighty percent my stuff.

So this will be the last post until everything settles and my computer is back in action. Thank you so much for all your sweet comments lately and I hope you all have a super week. xxx

PS. We went to Jill's today. Ate lentil soup, played with the children and admired her new cushion. Left with another set of cord overalls. Because that's what happens when you go to Jill's. You have lots of fun and leave with vintage overalls. It was a good way to spend our last day before the chaos sets in.

  1. Wow, I just realize that we had the same midwife, by reading your older entries. Isn't she AMAZING! Great to hear that more people feel the same about home-births. BTW, Your daughter looks very much like my daughter when she was 6 months old, I recognize all the same looks and body positions, so I love to see all your photos, brings back vivid memories! Your daughter is amazingly cute!!! Love your pictures. Glad I dropped by! Kindest regards, Annemarie (ps: good luck with your move)

  4. huh, moving. always such a nightmare. make sure you do leave all the heavy lifting to PB. my doc insists not to lift anything heavy after giving birth (even months afterwards!). anyway, good luck with all that packing, unpacking and organising. it'll be worth the effort in the end. Ciao ciao x

  10. Dear anna. good luck with the move. You'll be fine - really. When we moved back to Australia, the Sprog was 7 or 8 months, and then we moved to Darwin 6 weeks later. I thought she'd get underfoot all the time, but she didn't, and I still managed to unpack everything in a day or two!

  15. May the force be with you all! Moving is stressful enough, but coinciding with a teething child? Ouch!

Look forward to hearing about what a raging success it all was ;-)

  16. and what delightful vintage overalls they are! and BB is doing an exceptional job of modelling them, as usual x

someone suggested the amber teething necklace earlier. i second that. i have bought one for my third child (he is now 10mths) and i have been using it. i think it makes a difference. i hope BB feels better soon. teething is NOT fun.

all the best with the moving. just focus on the positives. hope the sun keeps shining. it sure does make moving easier. x

  17. I've just ordered an amber necklace for Saskia - only 3 months but she's dribbling and dribbling and red-cheeked.
Good luck with the move - it will be over before you know it! I'm looking forward to seeing beautiful images of the next chapter.
