Somewhere in the background I have still been knitting. Three baby scarves completed, two more to make. Then I plan to move onto a squares blanket with the speckled wool. I have to wash it first. It has been waiting for me to wash it for weeks. I feel so guilty I keep putting it off. Surely it's not that hard.

Yesterday I went to a friends house. A friend who has 3 children under the age of four. A friend who's house I could spend hours (days) looking at. Full of beauty and spirit. She makes giant pom-poms. She pulled out a bag of wool to give me some so I could make my own. Within minutes the wool was all through the house, around the furniture, the children and us. So much fun. I'm going to go start my pom pom now.

  1. Snap! A squares blanket is on the cards in my knitting future too! I want a very retro looking one, just in time for autumn! Check out my latest post (also knitting related!) about my current project-a baby's cardigan! Eeek! The pompoms sound awesome, can't wait to see them!

  4. I lurve pom poms! I always (always) attach them to my beanies. I don't think a beanie is a beanie unless it has a pom pom. I'm (slowly) making a pom pom garland. I think they are just the thing.
