This morning I woke up – inspected the mess in the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom – and got in the the car and went to play at Jill's house. (Photos above)

This afternoon PB got home from work – inspected the mess in the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom – and announced that we don't go out for dinner often enough (never) so we're heading out for local teppanyaki. (Photos below).

We returned – ignored the mess in the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom – and agreed we'll do a mad dash clean up tomorrow morning. Then we'll drive to the airport to pick my dad up. He arrives from Melbourne in the afternoon.

  1. My fellow lazy housewife, I salute you. And remember tomorrow who needs "is clean" when "looks clean" will do just as well. Babies need a bit of dirt to build up their immune systems anyway. That and teppanyaki obviously. xxx

  2. Right, sod knitting with it - playing in wool seems like way more fun. Are those Jill's stripy legs with the beat up connies? That's a cool look right there.

I love the days when you forget about the mess and head out to have a jolly good time instead. Have an awesome time with your Papa, he'll be far too distracted with BB's lushness to even notice! xx

  9. I know what you mean about never going out for dinner anymore. and the mess which is a never ending story chez nous. ignoring it is sometimes the only way to get other fun things done, like going to the restaurant! enjoy spending time with the great papa bear! Love your photos as always xx

  15. Anna, technically if you can't actually see the mess it doesn't really exist. You'll get used to stepping over things - I just negotiated my way round a minefield of toys on the living room floor in an effort to reach the computer.

  17. Nothing like a 'pre-visitor' mad dash clean up! It's so much easier when I have someone arriving and just HAVE to do it all at the last minute! Hope your dad's visit is lovely :)
