We didn't take a lot of pictures while we were in Melbourne, just enjoyed the moment.
One thing we did do – for the FIRST time since BB's birth – was hang out together without the little mite while my folks watched her. A swim in the bay and a walk on the beach. I made PB choose his favourite beach house from every cluster we came accross. His rationale for selection was based on practicality. The one with the good roof that needed the least repair, for example. Why he didn't pick the rad orange one with the pink door is beyond me.
On the occasion off little BB joining us at the beach we returned home with a soaking wet baby – one that is apparently not worried about icy Melbourne water.

Gorgeous photos! Love your beach house choosing story, my hubby would be just the same. I'm all for the orange and pink one. Happy New Year too! Looking forward to another lovely year hanging out with the Rummey Bears.

I see PBs point of view. It would be much cheaper to paint the house with the good rood orange than it would to repair the roof. That being said, the pull of orange would probably sway me.
ReplyDeleteHoorah for grown up time!
An ocean, sand and a baby make a happy trio. So envy you, in Poland it's just an ugly winter.
ReplyDeleteaaah! love this photos!! Que rica la playiiiitaaa! and in the last one BB´s style is just beyond anything: amazing!! she looks like she´s gonna start doing a dance routine any second!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome way to spend Christmas. On the beach. If we were on the beach at Christmas we would have a. drowned in massive waves b. frozen to death or c.been blown out into the ocean by the force ten gales. Beautiful pictures Anna xx
ReplyDeleteps. love BB's outfit. Fame eat your heart out.
pps. I'm with you - the orange hut with the pink door would win hands down.
ppps. Yellow Saltwaters to go with my yellow Chucks?
Oh dear. Must stop now. Looks like you've started something.
That third photo is so beautiful! I love it!
ReplyDeletelooks like great fun. We are planning our F I R S T night out since having children, too. 3 weeks away now. our oldest is E I G H T!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteFirst time I ever post a comment on your blog I've been following for 2 years. First, thanks for sharing the moment and sweet wishes for 2011. Then, I bought vintage denim jeans in Sydney one year ago. They are my favourite. I do not know the brand. But I recognised their '2 white crosses' signature on your trousers. Thanks for your help ;-)
she is growing so fast!!! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeletei love every one of these shots. her leg warmers are to die for. i'm glad you guys got a lil alone time!
ReplyDeleteahh these photos are so warm + happy! good for you for having some "you" time! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a lovely family time in Melbs. We live right near the beach boxes, we could've come and met you for some beach box purchase analysis! Lenny doesn't seem to care about freezing ocean and sopping wet nappy either. Yesterday he had a full little tanty because I wouldn't let him crawl fully clothed into the ocean near Elwood.
ReplyDeleteit is good to go home and then come back again.
ReplyDeleteLoving little BB's legwarmers! Sounds like you have a water baby on your hands!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely trip. Love those yellow Saltwater sandals. I have the blue but covet the yellow. I have been trying hard not to buy but I think I'll have to buy so I can enjoy them this summer. I am weak, it's true.
ReplyDeleteShe's so adorable. The last two photos are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteSwimming in the ocean sans kids is the best. My fave thing to do whenever anyone offers to babysit. Beats going out to dinner alone...just. You both look as lovely and happy as ever and the smooching pic is a heart-melter. Just one thing. Isnt it summer over there on your side of the world? Hmmm, it's just that the jeans and cardi are kinda misleading...

PS Pink door? Shit yes.
PPS 8 weeks baby!
Beautiful pictures.Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletethat photo of the smooch is the CUTEST i've ever seen. i love it! i wish we lived closer so we could join you for beach walks!! :)

ReplyDeleteHi! I'm from Venezuela and also have a baby girl, she's 6 months old. Your baby is beautiful, God bless her, and her pics <3
Well take care, following from now on :)
Oh I love, love, LOVE your blog now that it's summer there and winter here. It reminds me of the fun we'll have in a few months.
ReplyDeleteI adore the photo of you crouching down while BB plays. I feel like I spend a fair bit of my day in that pose these days, an arms length away, prepared to intervene if necessary, but allowing the small one to explore and learn.
Thank you as always for sharing your lovely, beautiful life.
love, love, love these pics. and your yellow sandals!!
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm from Australia, and I really think these photos do our beaches justice. Your baby girl is just beautiful, and I love how you use the names PB and BB :)

ReplyDeleteBB is just cuter and cuter! Such great photos.
ReplyDeleteDo you mind sharing what kind of watch you're wearing? It's gorgeous.
Thanks Ashley – my watch is by Triwa (by Tissot, I think). I think you can buy them online now. They have so many new rad colours. I've got my eye on the coral one! (unfortunately not my wallet though...) xx
