Finally got around to dusting off the kit lens to take a few snaps (while the 50mm still awaits its fate...) Despite the recent sunshine there's still been a helluva lot of rain to contend with. I tried to stretch out a drawing session* by presenting BB with some New Chalk. It was so successful that BB now demands nooo chork for every drawing session, so my pastels will be quickly diminishing. At least it makes for some colourful photos, right?
* These sessions invariably result in BB directing me on what to draw; usually ducks on bikes.

ReplyDeleteDrawing on the street is one of the best things to do!
ReplyDeleteThat's the best duck on a bike I've ever seen ;)
ReplyDeleteRosie's hat is adorable too. Here's to more sunshine, less mould x
Who needs a fancy pants lens when you can take amazing pics like these Anna?! Love the pinks and yellows. And fingers crossed for the 50mm. xx
ReplyDeleteI was scrolling down and I thought, 'oh. cool chicken on bike drawing'. Wrong, it's a bloody duck. This is why I should never draw.
Cute duck on a bike ... and such a great set of chalk colours!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos. Despite rain. And diminishing 'chork'. And broken lens!
ReplyDeleteFuture art director perhaps? Thank you for showing me that there is a positive to my concrete backyard! Pity my little one isn't big enough to pretty it up for me though x
ReplyDeleteYou did that with the kit lens??? Why would you even bother with the 50mm?
ReplyDeleteLove Rosie's floppy hat.
Are you taking any more requests? I'd like a goanna on a scotter, thanks! xx
I just wanted to say I enjoy your blog, love these images ...
ReplyDeletewe blog'd once upon a time. it feels like a decade ago!
these photos are so pretty. Love all the colours and BB's full-of-colour-hands in the last one...
ReplyDeleteyou give me hope that someday i'll actually learn to properly use my new camera (and lens!)
ReplyDeleteThis is what I dream about my kids will be able to do sometime in the future...we live on the busiest street, so no way I'm letting them draw on the sidewalk....Dreaming of a house outside the city!
ReplyDeletecute pictures!
PLEASE GET SOME PAVEMENT CHALK and stop my heart from breaking.

Check out BB's sunkissed skin! You jammy ozzies...
ReplyDeleteLove the colours. I can't wait for Josephine to get to an age I can use her as an excuse to do such fun things as drawing on pavements & hanging in make shift dens under the table xx
I am so happy I am not the only indulgent parent when it comes to art supplies! Except mine is scribbling on my fancy cold-pressed watercolor paper. Somehow, I believe I will cherish those scribbles so much more than I ever have my own paintings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. As always! I'm not sure if you are surrounded by beauty, or you just capture its fleeting moments particularly well. Regardless, thanks!
So sweat, it reminds me my childhood ...
ReplyDeletereally gorgeous photos. there's something about chalk.
ReplyDeletewhat beautiful images of everyday moments...
