I walked past this Garage Sale twice yesterday, the first time I managed to keep going but on the way home I was lured in. I picked up a couple of books for BB, a hand-knitted cream beanie and a softer than soft leather Country Road bag (on which I plan to change the strap). Then on my way out I spotted these puppies:
Bally (!) black patent leather loafers. In my size.
27 bucks for the whole lot. Score!
Hope you're all having an ace weekend. x

Tee hee. I scored Bally loafers too, and don't go listening to what Emily says... I found mine close to home.
ReplyDeleteScore!, the boys have both those books and they are favourites and I have that country road bag, love it and still use it every day.
ReplyDeleteall of these find are amazing!! love the books :)
ReplyDeleteGarage sales are more an australian thing.. we don't have them round these parts, sadly! Just charity shops and car boot sales. Cool finds love that bag.x
ReplyDeleteAh you and your garage sales. Jealous much? xx Ps I've had a pair of the coolest, patent, black Gucci loafers for 6 years now and I just don't know how to wear them. Anna, inspire me!
ReplyDelete@bianca - don't you know? Socks and turn up trousers! ;)
ReplyDeleteWe're having a garage sale next weekend and I can tell you now - nobody will be blogging about their sweet finds after it. I am selling pure crap! Seriously, who sells this quality stuff??
X
@ Claire: hehe I know but I end up looking more like Elaine from Seinfeld! I'm in awe of those who can pull of this look. Sadly, I am not one of them. Cry. xx
ReplyDeleteI feel a moonwalk coming on...x
ReplyDeleteWe are big fans of the diggingest dog around here! But those shoes .... you lucky bastard. Kellie xx
ReplyDeletePS Bianca - I think I love the sound of your Elaine look! We need to see it.
PPS What does the @ mean that everyone is always using? Yes, I am an idiot.
Oh... my son jude LOVES 'Dig dig dog'
ReplyDeleteNice find!
x
@ schorlemädchen – I usually find all this stuff on the lower north shore in Sydney.
ReplyDelete@ Bianca – I'd LOVE to see your rendition of an Elaine outfit! But I was thinking more along the lines of dark blue skinny jeans and a knit of some sort or winter coat.
@ Claire – I'm having a garage sale in a couple of weeks – also doubt anyone will be blogging about their finds – unless they love Country Road and Sportsgirl circa 1994.
@ Kellie – Idiot ;) x
Great finds! And great blog. Those books look vintagely (clearly not a word!) brilliant and that bag is lovely. x
ReplyDelete@bianca - i was kidding :) Although I'm sure some people could make that look totally cool. I, like
ReplyDeleteYou, am sadly not one of them :( I'd totally be Elaine, though the silhouette would closer resemble george... With kramers hair.
@ the idiot - throwing a heap of @'s "AT" ya!! ;)
@ mama bear - Sure beats my temt and valley girl
Circa 1999!
Sorry for jumping in the conversation... and I have never experienced Australia, and it seems its splendid garage sales... but i have to mention the tresure i found one day, at a car boot sale in Brugge: i found beautiful 50's blue and white Dior heels... They were not my size but i offered them to a friend i do not speak to anymore... ok. that's all. kisses from France to you all (and by the way, you are mastering the art of the blog, you australian ladies!) x
