I've been debating – over the last couple of days – whether to return here with the whole shebang or slip quietly back in unnoticed. One of these options brought me anxiety so, the latter it is.

To celebrate my 32nd birthday last week my pal Alenka took me to a basket weaving workshop at Koskela, run by one of my new favourite artisits Michele, aka Tiny Trappings. (She also organised her mum to watch both of our tots for the whole morning while we weaved and lunched – how super nice is that?!)

That tiny woolen snail up there is the beginning of my basket, which because I am a nuffy I left behind in the toilet of all places. So PB and I made our way over there this afternoon to pick it up, peruse the wares and grab a bite at Kitchen by Mike.

Sadly, as it is often the case, the food was eaten before it had a chance to be photographed. But my very-hard-to-impress husband vouches that it was amazing.

  6. Hello. I would love to learn to basket weave. LOVE. (And I'd totally be the kind of absent minded person who'd leave my basket in the toilets also).

  15. What a lovely treat organised for you. Basket weaving is a craft/art I love to do though I haven't had my hands on materials for more than a year now. It's been a doozy, let's say. Nice to see a blog post too.
